Career

Radio first

Bill got his start at Talk Radio Network, producing nationally syndicated talk and news programs: booking guests, prepping hosts, and running live broadcasts. From there he worked inside radio stations across the Midwest as an operations director, a program director, a morning show host, a local music and news host, and a play-by-play voice. He also anchored national news for I-News Network, heard on more than 150 affiliate stations at its peak.

That station experience is why Bernardoni Media builds shows the way program directors want them: clean, on time, and built to fit the clock.

Campaigns and communications

In 2012 Bill started Bull Media Inc., which at first did mostly political consulting. Over four election cycles he worked in campaign communications, including as Illinois co-director of a presidential campaign. He placed media buys, managed six-figure campaign budgets, and learned to lead remote teams of 5 to 12 people across time zones. Bull Media grew into Bernardoni Media & Marketing.

Today

Podcasts and marketing

Bill has built podcast networks for national policy and media organizations, and he runs the marketing that grows a show: YouTube, social media, paid media, and the analytics behind them. He took a sport psychologist’s weekly radio show to more than 30 stations, has produced his podcasts for years, and helped a large audio-only sports podcast make the move to video. He also partners with a publicity and production boutique on audio news releases and publicity.

What he brings to your show

  • A producer who has worked nearly every chair at a radio station
  • Program-director instincts: clocks, breaks, and on-time delivery
  • Campaign discipline: deadlines, budgets, and approvals
  • Remote teams of 5 to 12 across time zones
  • Marketing that grows the audience after launch

His solo syndicated program, America’s News Hour, returns in 2027. He also writes The Bernardoni Brief, his columns on radio, podcasting, local news, and marketing.
